Short version: we don't store what you type.

The calculators run in your browser. Nothing you enter — income, deposit, property price — is sent to our servers, because we don't have any application servers to send it to.

What we collect

Mortgagemaths is a static website. We don't run accounts, log-ins, or session storage of your inputs. The figures you enter into any calculator stay in your browser tab and are discarded when you close it.

The hosting provider receives standard request logs (IP address, user agent, page URL, timestamp) for the purpose of operating the site. These logs are not linked to any identity.

Cookies

We use the following cookies:

• Strictly necessary — a small preference cookie remembering which theme you selected, if any.
• Advertising — if you accept, Google AdSense sets cookies to serve and measure ads. See how Google uses cookies on partner sites.

You can decline advertising cookies via the consent banner. The site will continue to work; ads may be less relevant or not shown.

Advertising

We display ads from Google AdSense. We do not select advertisers individually. Google may use cookies and similar technologies to personalise ads based on your interests and prior visits to other sites; you can manage this at adssettings.google.com.

Broker referrals

The "Speak to a broker" button on result pages links to a fee-free whole-of-market broker. If you proceed with them and they place a mortgage, they pay us a fixed referral fee. We receive no information from the broker about which user generated which referral; the link uses a standard referral parameter only.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold about you. Because we don't hold personal data, in practice this means: there's nothing for us to access, correct, or delete. If you've contacted us by email, we can delete that thread on request.
